It sounds alright. It's seriously lacking in the low end. It all sounds kind of muddy aswell. You need make the vocals stand out more in the mix, try boosting a little between 4 - 6Khz. It wasn't hard to ignore the drums, as they were almost inaudible. Work on seperation of instruments by using panning and EQ. Remember to always cut if you can. Boosting cause phase shifting as you do it. In your guitars, try adding a bit at 240Hz for some more low end, and I find 3Khz is the central mid range frequency on guitars. Overall not bad though, my only major issue was the muddiness.

No problem. Myspace does make things sound ugly. I have pretty good computer speakers, and **** still sounds gross on Myspace. I hated my mixes the first time I heard them off Myspace.

Almost all filtering causes some sort of change in phase information, including cuts. It's just more pronounced in boosting because the signal is audibly louder.

This is the digital generation, so it's good practice to take a mix and rip it to mp3, ogg vorbis, wma, and whatever lousy format Real Player uses and see how things sound. Think of this as an extension of testing the mix on different speakers, only the speakers are digitally implemented as transmission codecs.

There's a bit more low end than last time, so thats good. The vocals still sound really muffled, they need to be clearer and more pronounced. Those are sequenced drums aren't they. Try adding some 'verbs to you drums, give 'em a bit more life. Depending on what sequencing program you're using as well, try and vary the volume of the notes a bit, not a ton, just to make it sound a bit more realistic. Sounding better though.

that might help, but i'm not sure how much. Try remixing it, and building the mix around the vocal track if that helps. Make sure it is always on top, provided that's what you're going for.
