Would anyone like to explain to me the difference between democratic-socialism and a social democracy? After that, any thoughts and opinions on the subject are welcome.

From what I gathered, social democracy is reformation of the current capitalistic society via democracy and democratic socialism is just socialism.

Social democracy tends to be more of a mixed market.

Pretty much this. Democratic socialism is socialism through the democratic process. Social democracy is a pluralist "caring capitalism" third way kind of thing. From what I understand anyway.

For an example of social democracy, see Tony Blair and New Labour in the UK.

Wouldn't Sweden be a better example?

Yeah, I was going to say that.
Third Way stuff has too many neoliberal ''Anglo economy' aspects to be real social democracy.

Look at Scandinavia for examples of social democracy. I wouldnt really consider Britain a good example.
