There is now a smear campaign alleging that John McCain had a luxury suite with two prostitutes during his time as a POW.

If he could talk the commies into giving him a private suite and 2 whores, then he must be a pretty good negotiator. Not exactly a bad quality for a president.
As far as the guy saying he's yelled at people in senate or whatever... what's wrong with that either? Plenty of senators/reps could use a good yelling at. At least he's apparently passionate about what he believes in. Better than the ones who drag their feet and don't really take a stand on anything.
He always seems so calm and collected. Must be bipolar.

Exactly. It's actually an illustration of someone being able to be genuine when they say, "I care too much" in response to the "what's your greatest weakness" question.

i hate smear campaigns.
McCain doesn't deserve this type of smearing, even if you are completely against it.

I have a question. John McCain was not born in the United States. He was born at Coco Solo Air Base in the Panama Canal. Although it was American controlled, it was never a legal territory of the United States.
As far as I can see, John McCain is not a U.S. citizen. Does anybody know if he ever took the steps to become a legal citizen? Or do military bases count as the United States, even if it isn't a U.S. territory?

Being born out of the US on a military base still gets one citizenship.

Yeah, it's just as good as being born in the US. I have a cousin who was born on a base in Germany because that's where his parents were stationed at the time.

It's like an Embassy. It's technically part of the US.

I got this idea where politicians focus on the positive aspects of their campaign rather than the negative aspects of their opponents campaigns.
Even in Canada it's pretty bad, and we're supposed to be nice or something.
