Do you think the Radial Passive DI would help improve the quality of my bass tracks? So far the signal fro my D115 has been good, but I've been thinking about getting the well priced DI for recording and live use.

I'm not a fan of using anything like a D112 or D115 for bass recording. I think you lose too much in the upper-mids and treble... at least that's been my experience. That said, using a D115/D112 for the lows in tandem with a Radial DI running full range... That would be a GREAT recording setup.

I'd be able to do that with the $90 model (Specifically what do you mean by full range)?

Full range means that you wouldn't put any type of crossover device to isolate frequencies before the DI.

If I were using that setup I'd mic up a cabinet with no tweeter (or the tweeter turned off) and good low end extension using the D115, but would use the unbalanced out from the Radial DI into a crossover (or a simple lo-pass filter for that matter) to power the amp/cabinet. Then I'd run the Radial DI out of its balanced out (i.e not through the crossover or lo-pass filter) effectively giving you a full range signal from the DI and a low/low-mid signal from the cabinet. Blend the two signals as required in post production and you'd have one monster bass track.
