Paul will get my vote on the 5th, but I do not donate money to political campaigns. I've never bought the argument that a donation should go to a politician rather than a starving kid.
He doesn't have a chance to win, primarily because the media refused to take him seriously. None the less, of the candidates I trust (Paul, Kucinich, Gravel), Paul best represents my views. Too often people think they should not vote for someone because that person will not win. They forget that their vote builds political momentum. The more votes someone like Paul receives, the more 'mainstream' his message will seem to the media. As the message is repeated and brought to more people in a serious manner, the message will be embraced on a larger scale.
Vote for whoever you think is the best candidate, even if that guy has no chance of winning. Given the state of politics in the US, it's foolish to think the frontrunners offer the people anything honest. It's the public servants like fmr Sen. Gravel that scare those in power.

Last night there were a bunch of people holding up Ron Paul signs next the the street outside of the auditorium Bill Clinton was speaking at. I sort of wanted to run them over.

As much as I'd like to see Ron Paul get the nomination over the republicans McCain and Romney..it's not going to happen.

Yes and in those polls he usually does pretty good. He's being predicted to win, or at least get damn close to winning, in Maine and he's doing very well in North Dakota. Besides, polls just help to sway elections so imo it's better to ignore them. If most people voted for the candidate they truly believed to be the best as opposed to the one who is most likely to win (or they believe to have a decent chance) then I think politics would become much more honest and better candidates would get elected. That all being said, I'm voting for Paul on Tuesday

Paul doesn't have a single delegate and McCain has like 97.

Really? She was speaking at SDSU today (my college) and they were here too. To say they had some ridiculous posters and statements to make would be an understatement.

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but a month ago people were trumpeting Paul's massive fundraising campaign. Now he's failed to win significant support in any state, and it's back to "$ win elections"?

I think he should take all his money and go for a third party run. The primary system is a little messed up, in that you can only vote for one party. All the anti war candidates flock to the democratic primaries. Plus, he would get a lot more talk time in the debates if its just three people, so more people will get to here his views.
How come when Huckabee wants to abolish the IRS people praise him, but when Paul wants to do it, he's a nut?

well, yeah? even record fund raisings fall horribly short to what the frontrunners have to spend on breakfast, so yeah, anyone who thinks otherwise is not too bright. What a no name like Paul did was fantastic, no matter how short lived it was. But to think that the choices for candidates would be the same if it didnt take billions to run is about as idiotic as I've heard.
It still amazes me that the only person that seems to actually stay with his guns, not flip flop, not lie, tell the ugly truth, gets treated worse than the ones who cant remember what they said yesterday, thats what really loony about Americans voters. :)

Of course what he did was fantastic. It doesn't change the fact that he was never a viable candidate to begin with, no matter how much money he had. One has only to look at Fred Thompson and Guiliani's failed campaigns to see how money is only one aspect of electability.

Ron Paul had the most money raised in a single month, but McCain and Romney have acquired massive fortunes that are much larger than what Ron Paul could ever raise in a nomination race.
