i have a XXX and the footswitch has a 7 pin cable. is there anyway i could make it wireless? im sure there is, but how would i go about it?

Unless there is something off the shelf for this or you are a electronics+software nerd, probably not. Maybe look into that x10 automation standard thing, that pretty much all about remote switching.
