I've been looking around amazon.com for a good book/books to help me start learning some good mixing and mastering techniques. There are a lot out there and not many of them have any reviews so it's hard to gauge which one would be my best choice. Just wondering if anyone here has any recommendations. I'm more interested in learning good mixing techniques rather than mastering, so if you like a book that's exclusive to mixing don't leave it out. Thanks!

After looking a little more I noticed that most of these books do have reviews that linked on the product page. I'm used to seeing reviews on the product page itself. Regardless, I'd still like to hear what everyone here thinks. :)

I'm also interested in some books, I have found a pretty cool site that's helped me get some basics though.

You should check out "Mastering Audio: The Art and Science" by Bob Katz.
That man knows his stuff.

i'll second that, Bob Katz is a genius, the book covers all you need to know.
Not sure on books on mixing, there are loads of books but they will all show you how the author does it so to get a good understanding of the process you'll need loads of books.
Best way (and most fun way) of learning how to mix is research all the individual steps (mic placement, compression, reverb modulation etc...) and then experiment untill you find something you like.

Also regularly post on these forums for questions :p
