View Full Version : WTT: Drum books for...
Obelisk

I "aquired" these books in a "barter" kinda deal. I really have no use for them, but I'm thinking someone here may.
The Art Of Bop Drumming, John Riley (w/cd)
Progressive Independence: A Comprehensive Guide to Basic Jazz Drumming Technique, Ron Spagnardi
Rhythmic Illusions, Gavin Harrison
Accents and Rebounds, G.L. Stone (1961 vers.)
As I didn't pay "money" for these, I don't really want to sell - but maybe someone who is interested may have some interesting drum related things they'd offer to trade?
If the deal is right, I'll have no problem putting up the cash to ship, if I feel as though it's worth whatever I'd be getting in return.
Let me know...

I might be interested in the first 3. Let me scour my studio and see if there's anything I might be willing to trade.

Don't get rid of your tambourine mang!... (but a double tamb would be killer...)
Let's see what Bill might find, not really needing a stacker, but I don't have one...

Really, money (Paypal) would be easier, especially since you're in Canada. The less shipping of items, the better. How much do you think it would be to ship two of them to the states? I could take the two jazz ones, and leave Rhythmic Illusions for ETP2 or Ex Xombie.

Well, you're both in the drumoff comp, so we'll see who gets the most votes!

thats not fair because we're in different categories...he could be the best in his and i could be the worst in mine but i could still be better (doubts because his solo kicked)....UNFAIR!

I would love to get a copy of The Art of Bop Drumming. I've enjoyed Riley's MD articles over the years, especially his articles, lessons and transcriptions of Elvin Jones' work.
Not sure what I have to trade... I've a 10" Sabian AA splash that I dont use. Sounds pretty nice, and has been kept well. I'm not a heavy hitter, and it definately has no cracks or keyholes.

Seeing as how billdrum was first to reply, I'd like to offer to him first...
It's really easiest for me if I use the shipping dept. at my work, who quoted me 23 bucks, so having said that - for $23 I'll send you all of them if you like...
Let me know...

Ya, I know.
Because the whole "barter" deal didn't work for him , I thought I'd offer them all for the 23 bucks.
If he want's just the 2 for 23 bucks, that's cool, we'll figure something out between you and EX.

No, I'm not so demented.

Why don't you see of you can work out something with the others first. You should get something out of them for yourself. If you deal with another Canadian, you can trade something without shipping costing an arm and a leg.

If you are cool with that, than I'll explore. I just wanted to give you first refusal... you did speak up first.

Where do you live?
So far E2P has offered a cymbal stacker and a video of himself doing 50 sit-ups, topless.
Ex has offered money. (make an offer?)
Dumbass has offered a splash.
Yes, I would like to keep the shipping costs down, so staying in Canada would be best. If Dumbass isn't in Can, we'll narrow it down to E2P and Ex, in which case - I'll take the stacker and video, and let Ex make an offer. Do either of you have any percussion type items you'd part with?

i have no percussion stuff but i also said i would pay money.
and tbh i don't think you'd wanna see me topless
