he's okay. too young anyways, no touring band would accept a 17 year old.

He needs a bit more variety, but what he was doing sounded good.

When did they loose their vocalist? And on the topic of The Faceless, anyone know why they used 4 different drummers to record the album, none of which are currently even playing with them?

I don't like the current drummer. I guess he's the old JFAG drummer? But when I saw them, he was pretty meh.

o rly?

how old was their old vocalist (Derek) when he first started touring?

must've been around that age (17-18 maybe 19?)

Just because their old vocalist was too young doesn't mean it'll go that way again.

He's got a good growl, and the cleans were incredible.

Better vocalist in our age group though:

That was pretty nice. He should go higher once in a while.

They all seem pretty young though, but that doesn't mean they'll pull some kid outta high school.

he's sloppy as hell.

on topic of thread: the dude is a pretty good vocalist, he needs to go between lows and mids more though. It's not that hard to do and it adds much-needed dimension, especially to really grunty growls like his.

age shouldn't matter anyways if you look mature and have an adequate death growl.

Btw, if you wanna see a vocalist who's too young (and just plain AWFUL) click:

the kid look's like he's 10.

I'm really digging their music, and the vocals just sound poorly recorded, especially in contrast to how well produced every other aspect of their music is.

He's a pretty solid vocalist, they really need to get his vocals recorded/mixed better.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mASaspyvUGsI sound almost exactly like that guy, minus the highs

the stuff he did during the second breakdown=really, really fun to do. Frog croaks and those funny 'awkawkawkawkawk' things

I might be getting some equipment soon (an 8track at least) to record my shitty black metal songs. I'll record some of my death vocals if I get it.

must've overlooked this post, but yeah I remember the first vocalist that came to mind was him (thinking about who'd fill in).

As much as I like his vox live, he more suits a deathcore band, not only with his style but with his looks/appearance.

he's pretty damn good. would have been nice to hear his mids rather than his low lows and his highs though.

you're not clever

but my lows and mids are burpy as hell, I can bree pretty well, and I can do some other inhaled techniques that don't really have names.

The opposite for me my highs sound a lot like his. I'm trying to work on my mids as I cant really do the lows.

I do also love throwing in some inhales when doing my vocals.
