Whenever I use my new condenser I get noise. I'm not sure what's causing it. It sounds like an electrical noise, but all my cables are good and new. Any idea how to remove it or what could be causing it. I'm looking for a free option.

What kind, 1st off.

2nd, can you record some of said noise, like 30seconds or so, and put a WAV of it on putfile?

I am using the shockmount with the condenser.

There's the recording. I amplified it and then pressed my 75 hz buton and it helped.

I have been using the audacity noise removal and it works well, but I can hear VERY slight distortion on what I recorded with it. I think this is the best option if I can't get rid of it.

Sounds like grounding. Try plugging ALL your gear into a power bar, if not then swap cables.

ground loops (the 60Hz hum you hear) are usually caused by not having all of your gear plugged into the same electrical ground. Plug all of your gear into the same AC outlet if possible. Inclusive of your mixer, computer, outboard gear, monitors etc.

Okay. My computer is the only thing not plugged into that. I will try it and get back to you guys.

Thanks :)

I plugged everything into a powerstrip.

It still has a slight noise. I'm thinking it's picking up slight noises that are around me. I dunno. I will just keep removing it.

That's weird, sometimes with groundloops you can't always get rid of all the noise. If that helped though, then that's probably what it was.

It's cool. Thanks for your help.

I know with guitar the pickups can pickup a computer monitor and can actually cause a decent amount of "fuzz" to the sound.

Also if I have something to play stereo, but its a mono sound, one side will come out staticy, doubt thats your problem though
