I have always been under the impression that when a kid gets ran over by a truck after finding out he has aids is brutal... not stuff that makes you jump around...



I believe we should have a sputnik dictionary. That way people don't use words wrong, and then those who do can be referred to it. just a thought.

couldn't it work if there was like a thesaurus type of thing? that way reviews on this site can be slightly cohesive... so one guy can't go around saying something isn't brootal then the other guy does. There should be a stronger more clearly defined word

I always thought brutal could be adopted to the production work as well. For example, and I'll prepare for the flaming on this one, Cannibal Corpse's latest album sounds pretty brutal because of the production.

-either fast as hell or slow as hell guitars with crunchy production
-guttural as hell, usually indecipherable vocals
-drums that vary in speed with the music (blastbeats during fast parts, steady double bass/symbal/snare patterns during slower parts)
-bass you can FEEL

This differs from 'crushing'.
