heavy vocals

me and some friends i have not played with before are doing a gig febuary 16, just to increase the amount of bands playing. they alredy have someone on bass, so that leaves me to vocals. not much of a singer, but i am pretty good with heavy, but not screaming, vocals. Give it all by rise Against is a good example. what are some easy to play songs with simalr vocals?
so far, the list of songs we might play is Give It All (Rise Against), knowledge (op. ivy) and some nirvana (debating the song. i wanted Drain You, one wanted teen spirit, the other wanted lithium).

also, how can i futher my skills in this style. like indurence, sound, actual vocal screaming and things like that?

The Zen of Screaming is a great dvd it helped me a lot.
