I'm trying to wire my bass' pickup straight the output. I've searched around a bit but I can't find anything really helpful (maybe I'm not looking hard enough).

Here's a diagram of what I have, maybe someone can finish it or explain what to connect. Anything would help a lot.

There should be 2 wires coming from the pickup. If there's not, let me know and I'll help you find which is which.

The hot wire connects to the lug on the output jack which will be touching the tip of the plug on your cord. The ground wire connects to the other lug on the output jack which will be touching the sleeve of the plug.

Well there is the wires right under the pickup but merge into one. I see where you're saying the hot wire should connect to. As for the ground wire, theres a small wire connecting from the other lug to the ground lug (the dark redish one in my diagram) one the back then from there the black ground wire is screwed down on another wire grounding it to the bridge.

You'll want to keep the wire going to the bridge. That filters alot of noise out when you touch the strings with it wired that way.

I'm not sure what the red wire is all about, I suppose it's just a stereo output jack I'm guessing, and they grounded 2 out of 3 lugs, the 2 that would be under the sleeve on a mono plug.

So basically green wire to the one touching the thing that touches the jack and make sure it's grounded? Seems like I tried that but I will again.
