any body know any good solutions to quick and cheap (not crap cheap just not Universal Studios expensive) soundproofing? Prefereable things that can be moved around a room like Drum walls or acoustic curtains.

Any ideas?

I'm no expert at this, but I was under the impression that blankets will help, maybe get a few thick comforter type ones? Or that foam that's used to pad beds should be alright too.

You need to be more specific when you say "soundproofing". Is it your intention to keep sound from leaving the room, or do you just want to "deaden" the sound of the room for recording purposes? These are two entirely different things. Also, FYI there have been like a million posts about this topic in just about every board on this site.

It's true. The search function is wonderful, you should try it out. Anyways, if you want to soundproof, as in stop sound from leaving the room, the best way to go is the "room inside a room" and really the only effective way. As for cheap foam used for acoustic treatment purposes. I'm not sure, google it up, and check your local music store.

Motley's right about the room within a room, but it's not quick or whorishly cheap like you want.

If you have an old couch that will help a lot with both sound deadening and soundproofing, although obviously you can't cover your entire wall with a couch or place one on each side of the room, and you probably need someplace to practice, but one strategically placed couch can make a big difference.
