More to come…
Being in Portland, this is very, very close to where I am. The weather here has been strange lately and there's some concern over whether or not we could get hit next. We've had winds the past week in excess of 90 mph, heavy rain, low air pressure, and ominous skies. I just hope everyone is smart across the river and no one gets hurt while this is going on.
EDIT: Since no one seems to know anything about the geography of their own country or the history of NW weather, this is a very big deal. The last tornado we had here was in 1972. Being on the west side of the rockies and especially being in the middle of the Columbia Gorge, tornadoes are a rarity.
The fact that this one is possibly being bumped up to either an F3 or an F4 is remarkable. Also, the presence of several other funnel clouds during the storm was something that doesn't happen here, ever.
