So far it's pretty cool. I kinda wish it stuck more to the exploration stuff because right now it seems more focused on combat, but still it's a good game. Drake is a great main character and offers a few good chuckles IMO.

The graphics have a very polished feel to them, and the water effects are amazing.

Anyone else play this?

Yeah. I just finished it like an hour ago actually :p
I thought it was great, although yeah, it suffered from an over emphasis on combat (and I felt especially in that respect, that the lack of any semblance of stealth ability was a major downside) as well as the "If its so ****ing hard for seasoned adventurer Drake to get into this hard to reach spot, how the **** are there 5 pirate guys already there waiting for him?" factor.
All that aside, it was really enjoyable, and if you ain't played it yet, you should go check it out!

Yeah like, I wouldn't care if you go to a spot and kill maybe 2-3 pirates, but then you have to hunker down and defend yourself against waves of them and I'm like "wtf I just want to run around and climb rocks like Indy!"

I dunno how far you are, so I don't wanna give anything away, but there are so many point where Drake discovers something that OBVIOUSLY was UNKNOWN to anyone else in the area - a secret passage or underground cavern - and he goes in, and *poof* people are already in there! WTF? Did they go in behind him and then sneak past?

Yeah I'm not very far in...Drake's plane crashed and I just recovered the map...still got a lot (hopefully) of gaming to do

There is a ton. I was expecting to finish it this afternoon, and had it all planned out, but it took much longer then expected (long enough that the rental place is now closed and I have a late fee for it :( )

Game is fun as hell. And the graphics...wow. Really great.

Love this game. The game mechanics are well done and the visuals are amazing. But the best part of the game is that the voice acting is really well done. The cast voiced their respective roles quite well. AndI had to laugh at Drake when he was parachuting in though:

CRAP!

CRAP!

CRAAAAAAP!

My only complaints(and this is really nit picking) are the weapons as an AK shouldn't use half a mag to kill a baddie. It wouldn't be much of a deal if we got to carry more ammo. And as someone said, it was rather annoying to work your arse to get to a secret place only to find out that pirates are already there.

Other than that, the game is perfect.

Yeah, I got so used to the AK in COD4 being a power-house that it frustrated me when I used it in this game :p

Exactly! It might as well be a paintball gun when compared to the CoD version. But like I said, it wouldn't be so bad if we got to carry more ammo.

Yeah.
Did you guys find the Hand to Hand combat almost completely pointless for inclusion? I think I killed maybe 5 guys total with punches. When u are grappling, the other guys still shoot at you, so you almost always die... :-\

I'm not really surprised that a bunch of pirates show up in "hard to find" areas. There are a ton more of them looking for the treasure, so it makes sense that they'd find an area before your 3 people.

Except Drake is obstentiably entering some super secret entrance to a place the bad guys DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT!
