Anyone ever heard of a little band called seabear? Has the feel of a relaxed sufjan stevens. Elements of folk and is great chill music. The effort of a one man band that turned into 7, they just released their debut lp "the ghost that carried us away" in August.

Give it a listen @ http://www.myspace.com/seabear

and if you like, his first ep is up for free download at http://www.seabearia.com

i thought they were pretty boring. catchy songs, i suppose, but generally uninteresting for me.

I really liked the Ghost that Carried Us Away, I ordered the singing arc ep but it never came which sucks. I like them.

Heh, The singing arc ep is free off of the website. I plan on ordering the ghost that carried us away soon, it has a fuller sound which i dig.

I like them a lot. Yay for them being Icelandic. Iceland is fascinating.

Everyone has bear in their band name these days. Would be nice to see a new animal obsession

I imagine a genre will be made for that. "animal indie rock."

Definately. A whole new trend could be formed. We have made something special on this thread today.
