Yeah, hollowbodies can slap you in the face unlike solid bodies.

Can you slap it, yeah why not? Will it sounds good? how can we know what you think sounds good and what doesn't. Go to GC.

It'll feed back.

Rounder, fuller tone possibilities, but it limits other types of tones, just think vintage, and slap some flats on it.

I didn't know they made Semi-Hollow basses...
Feedback I'd assume.

its just an obvious answer to his 'what will a hollow body do that a solid body won't' question

A hollowbody isn't a completely new instrument, guy. You can do whatever you want to do on it that you would do on any other bass. :/

cool, so i guess i should pick up some copper sheilding tape, for just in case. it needs re-wired/saudered, and the previous owner sawed a whole in the back. i will just put a guitar back plate on it, and make it easily acessable and look natural. any changes should be easyer than on ur standard semi-hollow. not sure if the pickups are in working order. there is a thread about this bass in the modding forum, with a link to a pic of it. (post the responce to this Q there, but) what are some compatible replacement pickups?

Well, for one, it will be semi-hollow.

I hope you are aware of this.

it can makes notes, and you can play it like a normal bass. it might sound a little different, but nothing overly different. they also look different that solid bodied basses.
