hey, i just made a myspace with 6 songs that i've recorded over the past few months. I have no idea if they're any good or not and am just really curious to know if anyone actually likes them or not.

there's 4 acoustic songs, 1 instrumental electric song, and one with vocals

by the way, i know my vocals suck but i sing because i have to since I'm making these songs all by myself.

Goddamn

Nice intro, the vocals are a little odd, but different i guess. Sounds like you could maybe be a little more enthusiastic. Hmmm... not sure what i think of this. There are some catchy parts to it which is always a plus, but it does go on a bit.

Overture

Cool guitar in intro, though second guitar and drums all maybe sound a little out of time. I don't know if this was the desired effect, but it almost makes it quite hard to get into. The overdrive playing the original riff, is very effective.

Hellbound

Okay guitar riff, though it sounds like maybe some of the strings a being muted. Vocals aren't too bad to begin with, though they maybe loose it a bit. I like the lead guitar. Simple but very effective. Actually, this song sorta sounds atmospheric at the end, and quite authentic.

The lights

I like the begging guitar riff. Again, it has a nice atmosphere to it, though sometimes i think i just hear fret buzz on the guitar. The screechy guitar is a very nice idea and works fairly nicely, though it maybe just doesn't quite harmonise well.

Broken Covenant

Cool, intro, but missed notes. Haha, cool line there, and a good melody on eletric guitars, though it's hard to listen when they're so horribly out of tune. Vocals sound quite clumbsy over the top. Again the guitar solo sounds very good effect wise and melody wise, though the out of tune rhythm guitars really bring it down.

I just don't know

Catchy, actually, this sounds alright. I think to be honest, your stronger stuff seems to be your accoustic stuff. I like the sound of a good organ, and the organ works well in this song.

anyways, all your songs on the myspace sound melodically, not too bad at all, though your music needs a LOT of cleaning up.

If you ever wanna rip apart my stuff, i'll be happy for you to do so

cheers

well I heard some metallic sounding stuff and am listening to The Light
right now, kinda enjoying the lofi-ness of it.

Kinda Tom Waits-ish.

Without the booze

Fun listens

Follow your excitement and you should progress nicely.

Hey man

I listened to all the songs, and I'd have to agree with some of the other guys in that your acoustic stuff is better than the electric. The singing isn't too bad, there are some good melodic ideas in there, just some parts its not executed well enough I guess.

The guitar riffs are pretty cool, nothing too extreme but catchy. I liked the intro to "I Just Don't Know" and I was hoping it would keep going with the but then it went into electric mode haha. It was still good though.

Good job, I would try to tighten up the vocals a little bit, but thats about it. Not like I can say anything about vocals anyway haha.

If you wanna check out the band I'm in, I would definitely be ok with that :D
