I bought the Backline 112 from guitar center, I've been having problems with it for the past few days and I even made a thread about it a couple days ago. I searched topics on the Gallien Kruger forums about the backline 112 and from what I've heard it's crap, I even found threads having the same problem I'm having. People have had to exchange there backline amp over and over and over to find a decent one and I don't feel like going on an hour drive to guitar center whenever my amp is crap. So I would like some suggestions for a good reliable amp, at least 100 watts and around 300 dollars because that's how much I bought mine for, and I'm exchanging it for another that's not a backline. My guitar center only has a small room of amps and they don't have the biggest variety so I'd like to have as much suggestions as possible. Heres the amp that I bought at guitar center for 300 dollars. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/prod...ombo?sku=482537

the only thing that comes to mind that matches your description is the fender rumble 100 series amp. i have one and its been going for 3 years now. it has a warm tone. what bass are you going to run to the amp anyways?

I've played the Rumble many times because my old bass teacher plays one, I like how you can plug two basses in at a time and I like the tone, hopefully they'll have it.

The Rumble 100 only has one input.

It must of been a different one then, I remember my bass teacher playing a Fender combo amp and I think it was a Rumble, but it had two inputs.

Yeah, I think the 25 and 60 do, but the 100 doesn't.

If I could find it for less than 400 dollars then I could get it. This ones huge, and I believe it's the cheapest mag I could find. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ashdown-MAG-C115300-Combo-Bass-Amp?sku=485032

Some of them have a lot of problems, whenever I played for about an hour or 40 minutes the sound would blow out, then I would turn the main volume nob around and the speaker would move in and out making a windy whooshy kind of sound and it would work 5 minutes later again, and do the same thing over and over. There not all bad, I played the same amp for about a year because my brother used to own one. Some of them just suck.

No, I just got unlucky, but anyway I found out that the tube version of the Ampeg BA 115 is in stock for an extra 100 dollars. What's the difference? Is it worth the extra 100? I think the solid state BA 115's sold out quick because they're on sale. In what ways will the tube make the amp sound better? Than the SS version? http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ampeg-BA115T-1X15-100-Watt-Bass-Combo-Amp?sku=481724
