Have started a band/duo with a fellow MX-member; grey incision. Doing some programming using a variety of prgrams, namely Audacity. The samples themselves haven't been nicked off the internet, most have been played and recorded by myself or Phil [grey incision], the obvious exception being the extract from Brahms Piano Concerto no. 2.

Would love some feedback from you guys, good or bad:

Mmmmmhmmm...well, I don't know. I kind of liked some of it and didn't like it at the same time. It was like watching an avant-garde movie that I can't decide if I like or not. It was all just so......abstract. I think the tune that I liked the most was "Monet's Water Lillies". Very unusual and hauntingly beautiful at the same time. Definitely a keeper.

Sorry for the lame/short review. I normally give pretty in depth analysis, but it's late and I've had a rough day. I'm gonna' send you a friend request (Alhambra In Ashes). I hope you'll accept, not just cause I think the music's interesting, but because I love that freakin' profile pic you guys have got up. Made my day!

Thanks for the reply.

We've just started so any feedback is appreciated. And when I say just started, I'd not written a song before saturday.. ever. I kind of get stuck for themes which is why they're all so short. Any advice would be appreciated.

Marble floors v006

i like the sound you got going, and it's nice and short. I like the way you phase the different sounds in and out.

I like storms

Nice oriental sound to it. Do you actually have a sitar? ANyways, sounds like the title which is nice

Shifting

Hmmm... a bit strange. Builds into the piano nicely. Hmm... not a lot to say about this one. Nice sound to the instruments and i like the water running sound

I'm waiting for a train

Sorta nice gamalan sound to some of the instrumentation, and i like the kind of computerised effect you put on.

Monet's water lillies

I like the vocal sounds at the begging. Very pleasent sound to this, very atmospheric. Deteriarates a bit towards the end

So happy our ears bleed

Hmm.. sound a bit tacky, almost like the electric guitar sound on my new keyboard. THe it does have a nice melody to it, and it's monophonic texture makes it sound fairly original. Probably the weakest so far i'm afraid :(

If you ever feel like listening to some of my stuff.
