Review as i listen. (nice logo btw)

Straight off the bat this ain't my kind of thing by any stretch of the imagination but a balanced review is what you're after so less of that. The opening guitar part would be even prettier if i hadn't heard that kind of thing infinity billion times before (over-exaggeration?). However the vox harmony is very nice if a little breathy for my liking. Unique in it's own way though. Reminds me of McFly at this stage.....that's right....i went there. Seems to me like it should progress further from here.....but just hasn't so far. I'd like to hear more drums. Though that is to do with the mix, not how they are played. Still waiting for that build up or progression and it's starting to get frustrating. It is very nice and well played/sung but is getting VERY boring. If there are hooks i'm missing them. I can imagine this being much better live. And now it's petering out to the opening riff.

All in all a very NICE song that is well played but, in my opinion, lacks dynamics and any discernable melodic hooks that make me want to hum along thus making it dull and fairly forgettable.

Sari

Starts off with nice stabby guitar. Ahh, some cool bass. You sorta sound like the vocalist to live. Yeah, it's poppy, but it's very well put together. Nice sounding guitar in the chorus. Goes into the heavy guitar great, and the bass in the quieter parts is awesome. The break sounds quite cool, and it builds up well. Gotta very catchy song here, with a good hook.

How to stay

Starts off very well, with vocals and the accoustic guitar. Ahh, some very nice laid back guitar, simple, but it works. Ahh a great chord change on the chorus, and you get a very nice sound with the guitars. Good catchy song again with a good hook.

Fine go

Great intro, already sounding very promising. Ahh some cool bass there. Some very cool vocal harmonys in the chorus, and goes back to the cool riff in the intro. I'm glad you didn't drop that idea. My only bit of critisism would be that maybe the chorus doesn't have as much of an impact as in your previous songs.

Don't even know me

Some good arpegiated guitars to start off. I can't say i enjoy this song as much as previous ones, though it does sound very proffesional, never the less. The strings and guitar go very nicely together.

Right direction

Cool sound on the guitars. I sorta like the more harsh vocals as well. Cool pre-chorus. Subtle but works. Ahh great vocals, i like the change in the sound of guitars.

Was it Laszlo

Cool effects, with some nice sounding sythesisers. Ahh some daft punk like distorted vocals. Like the sound here. I'm guessing this is like your more experimental. Cool synth. I like this song, a lot. It's got a nice repetetive guitar riff, and the vocals go with it perfectly. Great sorta stutering rhythm to it. Not so sure about the break, sounds a bit whiny.

Anyways, to conclude you got some good songs.

it's cheerful and jolly and all, but it just ends up sounding like so many other bands out there imo. sorry. reminds me of a watered down version of Panic! at the Dancefloor mixed with Fall Out Boy. the only thing that makes this song come close to cool is the guitar solo/harmony thing. that's pretty rad. other than this it just sounds generic.

indietrashrock -

syklus: hmmmm. 1:30 into it and really, nothing has happened...

nearly 2 minutes in, and it still sounds like the into to something that might turn out great...

2:40 ...i feel like i've given up hope on it going anywhere. sorry, skipped it after here.

fenced in summer:
sorry, this really isn't doing anything for me. too sparse to sound coherent, too electronic to sound spontaneous.

this is incredibly horrible: no futher comment, speaks for itself.

embrace the assholes: i hope it meant to sound like a one riff filler.

happy hoppy: intrigued by the intro. hoping it leads to something more intense. bass riff at 1:00 i like ... but would have been more interesting had it been joined by something else. after that it gets too "spacey" (aka boring) for me to continue. (stopped at 2:06).

sorry that i didn't like your stuff as much as i guess you didn't like mine. but i'm drunk with this review being more or less stream of consciousness. keep working, sounds like you have some good ideas, just horrifically under-developed.

ps i dont care if you hate my band, i have fun with it and dont expect everyone to like it.

This is danceable. Catchy. So good. :)

Hey man, sounded alright. Songs are pretty catchy and flow well. For your genre i think you guys play really good. My only qualm would be that i have heard this kind of music alot in the mainstream lately. Maybe try something new it might do you some good.

If you could, check out my band.

Wow... Now that is pop rock. If I had just stumbled across your music... I would have thought it was a real pro band. It gets slightly boring after a while, though. There's nothing in there to really shock me back into listening more closely once I get used to the voice of the singer.

I agree with one of the posters above - this is too nice for my style, too, but it's not bad. And I also agree with The_One - this is something people could dance to!

Oh - "Fine go" just started. It starts differently from the others I've heard so far. Very nice. It shocked me for a second, anyway. :)

Sari: Starts off really catchy and cool melodies in the vocals. The more upbeat parts sound great. The bass is very good, great job man :thumb: I didn't like the vocals as much when he used falsetto to go really high. Cool instrumental break around 2:20. The song felt like it repeated a lot, so it was good that it was pretty short.

How to Stay: Nice and soft, guitars sound great. Chorus is nice, I didn't feel like it caught me enough however. This song kind of reminds of a sentimental montage during a movie when the two main love characters are walking through a park or something. Oh someone else is singing now? Just for a second I see. Sounds good too.

Fine Go: Starts off a little differently than the rest, which is nice. A cool melody. Some parts of the singing in this song I didn't enjoy as much. The drums so far have been pretty simple throughout the songs but do a very good job keeping the beat and not being boring.

Don't Even Know Me: Soft and mellow, kind of like the other songs, but subtle differences. Its true, is easy to get habituated to the singing and it almost starts to become like background music for whatever else I'm doing. Not that its bad by any means.

Right Direction: Funky. I like the intro. I don't if I liked the vocals over the top of it, it reminded me of like newer Smashmouth or something. It finally changed up a little bit, I was getting a little bit bored I guess. The verse parts don't really draw me in and keep my attention.

Was It Laszlo: I like the way this one starts. Very interesting. Electronica-ey, a lot different than the rest. Vocal effects work well. The guitar riff seemed to stay the same for a lot of the song, it could have changed more. Cool synth in the song. Interesting little break part around 3:30 ish. A lot of this song there wasn't a huge amount of variation and so I started to tune out a bit.

Overall I think this is great stuff especially for the genre that its in. I wouldn't really listen to this kinda thing normally, but I still enjoyed. Some of it was either tgo repetitive or not exciting enough to keep my attention.

Keep it up! You guys got something good here, especially for a mainstream audience.

Your new song is real well done, moreso than the older material. It's not really what I'm into, but I kind of enjoyed it.

If you could rate my stuff, that'd be cool... it's kinda the polar opposite though.

you have a good club band here. you'll be easy to promote, and should be a band that most people won't mind seeing. you are a band with poppy vocals and simplistic music that is not overbearing for an audience to watch.with that in mind, i don't think your songs are memorable. people will have an easy time ignoring your band because nothing in the songs stands out about them. you could probably bring in a good amount of gigs based upon the fact that you are danceable, but don't expect to gain a huge following.
i think your a good band with a bad demo. i reccomend shelling out some cash and getting a proper demo done. you need somethingthat sounds good online because clubs typically book through online interactions.

oh and indietrash i checked your stuff out. these two bands are on completely different ends of the musical word. i dig your stuff, i've always enjoyed really f---ed up experimental crap. your name is a perfect title for such a brand of music.keep up the good work, your stuff is a pure expression.

To get it out of the way: Pop Rock is not my thing.

That being said, you sound very solid, very professional. Very much like something that would be on the radio in the '90s, but not exactly, certainly different enough to sound like your own thing and not a throwback. If your songs are marketed to the right people, they will love you forever and ever and ever. And ever.

Good job.

Hey Luke, listening right now.

My main problem is it's too friendly. Good sounding melodies, and a good vocalist and all. I'm having trouble hearing bass most of the time, but the mix is good.

But I really agree that the problem is that your songs are background music. It's something I could put on and forget that it was on. It doesn't have any real changes, and kinda gets old quickly. Reminds me of Collective Soul, a lot.

If you'd check out my band, Saviour Self, it'd be appreciated. We are recording a new song Sunday, so if you'd rather wait until then, that's cool too.

kinda trite but very listenable.

I prefer a lil bit more originality but you have appeal and the production is reasonably high on your other songs, this one a bit rough, I would suggest the urs mix plug on your master channel and use some lo and hi cut filters on the bass and highs.
