God's Twisted Logic

Suitably twisted sounding and so fits well with the title. Sounds like one or two notes missed...deliberately or not. Sounds to me like an amalgamation of ideas that might have come together slightly too fast. Although there also seems an air of improvisation around it which is quite appealing. Aha! Now that took me by surprise. A much more definate stucture here. I think the vox should be louder (in the mix) and, in all honesty could use some more defined melody. That being said they don't seem out of place. However what with the song being fairly chaotic and inaccessible the vox would definately benefit from a stronger sense of melody to provide a hook.

All in all. Interesting. One of those pieces that errs on the fine line between progressive and randomised dross......which i find myself attracted to.

Thankyou very much for your in depth review. Yeh, my vocals are usually said to be on the loud side, and i s'pose i sorta made the mistake in going to the other extreme :(

But anyways, thanks again for the review, and i agree with your suggestion of the vocals perhaps needing more melody. I'll try and work on that.

the vocals could be slightly louder. the song is as almost always - awesome. but you have essentially the same drum pattern throughout all your songs. the guitars sound great, like they usually do on your tracks. the chord progression is real nice. I especially like the ending. it's great.

Hey indietrashrock, thanks for listening. I tried to vary the drums by using some percussive effects on my keyboard, though they are quite repetetive when the heavy effects come in. :(

but thanks again for Listening

this sounds good man experimental-ish nice guitar riffs, a little soft with vocals and whatnot but its not too bad. How do you record?

hey, thanks for listening. I record onto a BOSS 950 studio. quite small, maybe 30 by 15 cm. The guitar can be plugged directly into the studio, so you get no background noise, though i'm still yet to learn how to program drums properly :(

I really like the effects on the acoustic, it sounds great. The vocals could definitely be a bit louder. I like the melody in the guitar a lot, but I can see it being a bit hard to sing to haha. When the electric guitar comes in its more straightforward, with a good driving drum beat. Very good. I like the lead guitar that comes in, it fits very well over the rhythm guitar, great phrasing. The vocals should go up, like I and other people already said haha. One question, are the drums done on a computer or are you playing them?

The end melody might almost be my favorite part haha. Sounds really good man!

I can't play drums i'm afriad, and i'd be surprised if my parents let me get a drum kit :(

But anyways, yeh, i couldn't agree any more with your comment about the vocals needing to be louder in the mix. I shall just review your stuff right now...

This is some pretty interesting stuff. I really like the atmospheric moments. I think you could do more with the vocals but. It sounds a bit a monotone to me. Good work nonetheless!
