If you are looking online, it depends on what you are looking for; sequencers, softsynths, softeffects, etc.

It also depends on what system you are working on; PC or Mac. The availability is much much higher for PC and so is the number of sites.

Do you want standalone software or stuff that works inside a host (highest number available); that is, VST and VSTi software for effects and synths, respectively.
