cool sustained sythesisers start this piece off well, and the almost "gamelan" style mettalic sounds in the background are very atmospheric. The electronic drums which fade in really help to create a relaxed, but almost "building up" feeling, if that makes any sense. The arpegiated major 7th chord sounds very psycadelic, and the additional guitars harmonise to create a very beutifull sounds. The thrashing snares also work very well with the realxed music :). Ends very well, with the cool banshee like synthesisers over the top. Good as always :)

Very nice overall mix, I liked the atmospheric ambient feel to it. I'd feel very comfortable playing some Homeworld to this song, which is a compliment, seeing as how I think Homeworld's soundtrack is one of the best game soundtracks ever. Very good work, perhaps a little lacking on the bottom end of the spectrum, but other than that, very nice.

Thank you both very much for the reviews. :thumb:
Fuzzy: I'm almost done writing my album and afterward I'm going to check all the mixes by listening through several different stereos, and I'll try to pay particular attention to the low end on this song and see if it needs a boost. Most of my songs actually have the opposite effect in the first mixes (waaaay too much bass) and I have to cut it down, but I used a different synth bass on this one, so who knows.
Thanks again, guys! Anyone else?

the intro is beautiful. the synths are extraordinary. the drums sneak up on you so good, you'd think they've always been there. magnificent. when it "kicks off" with the guitar and drums it's just... I'm at loss of words. it's just beautiful. so moving. so... brilliant. reminds me of Fighterpilot and Yndi Halda (dunno if you've heard them... I could hook you up with some MP3s if not) at times. but its definitely original and unlike owt else I listen to. it's just a perfect song. can't think of owt I'd change.
could you send me an MP3 of it?

Tusen takk, menneske! (that probably sounded all wrong...) Glad you liked it.

Sh**..., O.K., but this is the last free one (I'm going to start selling them, not that I think anyone will buy them, soon so that I can hopefully recoup some money if I ever get the album done and press cds) and you can't tell anyone I'm sending it to you. Oh, wait...sh**... F**ker... :smash:

you were probably aiming for "thank you very much/thanks, man" - but we don't say "man", so you ended up with summat like "thank you very much, human". which is kind'a fine since I actually happen to be a human... but it sounds slightly... awkward though, wouldn't you agree? :p
p.s.
thanks for the mp3:thumb:

You're human? All this time I thought you were a robot, or a magical talking unicorn. Damn...:p
I haven't heard of either of those bands, but I'm gonna' look them up, you peaked my interest.
