Im debating on whether I should buy Jojo Mayer's Secret Weapons for the Modern Drummer or Thomas Lang's Creative Coordination and Foot Control next. I know they're on both sides of the spectrum, but Im faced with a delemna of money. Which do you all think I should consider buying?

Well, do you want to work on coordination/feet or the hands? Each DVD pretty much focuses on one or the other.

well, I could use improvement in both, theres never a time in a musicians life when they can say "Im done learning, i know it all" because its not possible to stop learning, so im pretty sure i should just buy both, but i dont quite have that money, and theres a lot more technique put into hand, I believe, than foot, so ill probably get jojos (run-on right?)

Obviously everyone can work on their hands and feet since you can never truly master either. I'm saying that since there's no way your feet and hands are on the same level as each other, maybe go for the one you'd rather get a little better at?

Honestly though, I have the Thomas Lang DVD, and there's really some pretty advanced stuff in there. I've only seen excerpts of JoJos though so I can't really comment on that one.

Thomas' DVD is built all around the feet, and coordination with the feet and hands. There's not much technique in it as much as its exercises to work on those things. JoJo's seems to be much more in-depth with technique and its obviously all about the hands. Both very different DVD's. Of course it would be best to have both if possible, but if not, go with the one that focuses on the things you want to get better at.

i have both and like both BUT jojo would win hands down. that is the most important DVD yet released in my opinion. if i had to get rid of all of my DVDS and i have 25 of them and be allowed to keep just one it would be jojo's

JoJo's.

Greatest.DVD.EVAR.

I'm not even kidding.

The thing is absolutely fricking perfect. You will see results on your kit within 10 minutes of practicing even his most basic exercises.
