VIDEO: Viscera Eyes

Easy MX

Just dropping by with a quick video and some snaps of my kit with a new camera.

Recently i've been setting myself tasks to learn stuf im not comfortable with.
First on the agenda is 'viscera eyes' by 'the mars volta'
I've learned the groove and most of the accents but the fills are giving my a hard time.

Anyway, I'l keep you posted because im so determined to learn the whole song, note for note.

I used my isight camera on my macbook for the video and the audio was so distorted i had to lower the volume.

As it was just a quick practice i didn't get time to set up my recording rig so no samples of that sub-kick as of yet.

Yer, like i said above...

The mic in my macbook was distorting so much all you could hear was just digital distortion and not much else, you didn't want to hear it, trust me.

Tell me about it.

The recording rig takes a bit too long to set-up to record a practice.

As i only had a while to practice, setting up mics and positioning would have meant a really short practice time.

Even since i moved to my dads house i can only play when my family is out.

Hows your studio coming along pete?

Studio is aweomse man. Got a new track recorded with my band mixed it all down then decided that we wanted to re record everything lol.


I need to write some songs i can record on my own or learn some acousticlay stuff to record.

I got reason 3 the other week and im buzzin off of that recently ;)
