Wouldn't mind some feedback on my latest piece "Rotaction", but I'd be partial to comments on the other few as "Density" is also fairly new just more guitar orintated.
Cheers, and let me know what you think!:thumb:

Rotaction - an interesting motif, but it was just too repetitive for me. I think it needs some more work so that it "goes somewhere". As it is, I would say it's allright as background music, but that's about it.
Density - I liked this one better. It definitely demands a listener who has patience, but I felt like this one progressed better than Rotaction. I still think it could use some more variation and maybe some percussion, but you do a nice job of using textures.
I don't Know - Hmmmm...to be honest, this one didn't really do much for me. That interesting bridge part, or break or whatever you'd call it was very interesting, although it was quite a left turn. Unfortunately, I thought this was the only interesting part of the song.
Momentary Relapse - very nice piano intro: I'm not sure if I liked the busier runs in that sequence - they were impressive, but I think keeping it slightly simpler would serve the tune well. My main problem with this song was that it was too short. I think you should expand it.
Motions - This type of music isn't exactly my cup of tea, but I was impressed. Great rhythms and some impressive guitar playing. Once again, the song is so short!
To recap: I think you need more variation with the first three songs. My favorites were the last two and they were too short, so expand those in length if you can and you'll probably have a couple of winners.

Cheers for the comments. I think the whole thing with "background music" is probably what I do without even realising it. People have told me that the things I write would fit perfectly into a game or movie soundtrack, maybe even some adverts. With Rotaction I thought about adding a guitar lead over the top but I thought it wouldn't suit it, and I'm a fan of Aphex Twin so when it comes to Electronic kind of stuff then the repetitiveness is just a subconscious trait for me. I don't mind if it's not people's cup of tea, for the most part is probably isn't what people would go searching through their media player to listen to, but then some do.
Yeah the shorter songs: the orchestral was intended to end another piece but it didn't really fit and I liked it on it's own, and Motions was something I did quickly to pass a unit on my college course.
I do really appreciate the comments, I'm looking to take a course in music producing/computing at University so maybe that'll add the variation you're talking about.:thumb:
