Yes is one of my favorite progressive rock band's and I think that are too underated. I own classic Yes and I love every song on it.

Post in here for classic rock discussion instead of making a thread every time you think of a band.

You should check some youtube videos then, if you like classic rock or progressive then you might like yes.

For some odd reason this past year, I went for about 6 or 7 months without listening to any Yes. But last week, I decided my Yes albums had been collecting dust for too long and gave them a listen. I've been on a Yes binge all week.

I disagree that all classic rock discussion should be confined to the classic rock thread.
Steve Howe is seriously the man. He does some pretty heavy and crazy stuff with just clean tone.

Who cares? Better to have new threads rather than a few threads with 128973012783 posts in them. That way you get more than just the same few people.

Yes is amazing. I've seen em like 5 times in different variations. The Union tour was amazing.
Favorite albums are: Tales from Topographic Oceans, Fragile and Close to the Edge, which is still a superb piece of music and very approachable.

I said I posted that so he doesn't flood the forum with new threads every time he thinks of a band that he likes.
Makes sense. But I would really enjoy a Yes thread.

The Yes Album is quite possibly, the best album ever.
Close To The Edge and Fragile are up there too.

Close to the Edge is such an epic album, it's probably my favorite prog-rock album.
I generally enjoy the majority of their output during the 70's, but unfortunately the worst album that I have ever heard is Big Generator.
Tales From Topographic Oceans is great driving/studying music.
I really like Close to the Edge. Does anyone have a suggestion for the next one I should listen?

I see a lot of people saying they love The Yes Album, and while I think it is a good album, particularly The Clap I find it has nothing on the other two albums I own, which is Close To The Edge and Going For The One. My favourite is going for the one, I'd also really like to get Fragile as well. Maybe even check out some of Steve Howes solo work, he is a such a great guitarist.

Close to the Edge is really good. That and Relayer are my favorite Yes albums. Anything after Going for the One kind of sucks IMO.

I think that Yessongs is one of the greatest live rock albums of all time, and I'm not usually a fan of live rock albums.

I should check that out, I don't own it. However, I do own this Yes box set that has like 4 discs of live Yes and it's pretty sweet. It was like $70 though :(
