I've mostly been listening to metalcore and metal lately, and I want to get into some more hardcore/emo oriented stuff. So if you could please give some suggestions, that would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Love Lost But Not Forgotten, Ampere, Orchid, Amanda Woodward, Ekkaia, Wasteland, Das Oath, Spazz, Limp Wrist, Los Crudos, Artimus Pyle, Saetia, and Circle Takes The Square are some of my favorites.

If you want some actual good emo listen to Sunny Day Real Estate. Borders into progressive style, but the lyrics are well written and musically it's technically superb.

SDRE is not the only good emo there is and compared to the bands already listed before your post and elsewhere in the thread they are mediocre at best.

Well you saying it was some 'actual good emo' makes it sound like all other emo actually isnt good at all.

My friend saw Girl Talk this summer and said he was awesome. We wanted to get him to play for our college radio station but we don't have enough cash. The main concert committee at our school could but I dunno if they're smart enough to get him. I dunno if I mentioned this but a tight De la Soul-like hip hop group came to my school last Friday. They're called Little Brother (there are actually sputnik banner ads for their new CD). Their new album Get Back is pretty tight and I think a lot of people here would dig it. I put it up on my blog.

Nice mix Shane, expected to see a Textbook Traitors song or In Memory Of Movern

I dig it minus the UoU song, always disliked this song

Hahahah you know, I'm surprised myself that I didn't add a Textbook Traitors song...mainly because I feel like I'm the only real big fan of them

I really wanted to put a Crestfallen song on there but I didn't feel like grabbing the cd out of my car for it so I'll wait till the next mix I do

Although I think the next mix is going to be experimental/down tempo/stoner ****

that band's tight. ive been listening to them for awhile. it's too bad they broke up...

The day they broke up sucked major balls, i was pissed it was a few weeks before i was going to see them live, and a few months before that i went to see them in dc at the ware house next door only when i showed up to discover they were not playing, i did not understand why they broke up it seemed like they were actually going to blow up....

illpressureurhinges1
11-25-2007, 08:04 PM
I was pissed too. I had just started to get into them, and I had just bought Risk Revival and downloaded their ep. Then i saw somewhere online that they had broken up, and I was like what the f**k! O well...

Did you pick it up because it said FOR FANS OF THE FALL OF TROY

illpressureurhinges1
11-25-2007, 10:56 PM
No... I don't even remember it saying for fans of Fall of Troy. And I'm not that big of a fan of FoT anyway. I got it because I had listened to it online and liked.

DFelon204409
11-26-2007, 03:29 AM
But they definitely used FoT, ATDI, and one other band as a marketing ploy. I remember looking for the album when I had to burn time waiting for my dad in best buy once.
