Other than knowing that this is a death-doom band from Chile, I really don't know much else else information. The other day I was bored and clicked on a recently added band on Metal-archives, and I later saw that the band had their demo posted in their info section. Ultimately, I ended up loving the album and was the first breath of fresh hair that I've had in awhile.

The harsh vocals are ok, but the musicianship and the construction of the songs are what make the music amazing. Some of the best and well-timed clean vocals I've heard too, which are very distant, melancholy, and almost droning. The best song on the album hardly even has vocals.

Post your e-mails and I'll send you the album. The link I have now is Rapidshare - I hope that's ok for everyone. If it's not just mention it and I'll upload it on Mediafire.

So I tried listening to this and it sucked. Some of it reminded me of the more mellow sections of Dream Theater which is never a good sign. What really got me was the upbeat riffing and keys, way too happy and pretty sounding for doom metal.

yeah you ruined my thread

Totenkrieg

Doomed as in doom?

Totenkrieg
11-11-2007, 09:44 PM
lack of doom

First, the band is from Chile, second they are from Chile and their name is a variation of Wotan, third they play death doom, fourth the mention of melancholic clean vocals, fifth you discovered it on your own. Haha.

fifth you discovered it on your own.

WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN.

This thread made me lol pretty hard

Nostalgia

I was half-way stoned when I made the thread, and if I wasn't stoned I don't think I would have made it.

And that's probably why I said fresh hair istead of air.

But anyway, anyone enjoy it?

would I like this?

I was just a sucker for it because it had some small talking sections and really hypnotizing clean vocals. The harsh vocals could use some work, but it didn't bother me that much. Pretty small album (can't remember how many mb, but it wasn't a lot) so it shouldn't eat up too much space.

Size doesn't matter to me so that's cool.

I'll take it I guess.

I liked this a lot, I didn't understand why everyone thinks the harsh vocals are so bad. Wothan writes some pretty fantastic death/doom. This release has many more listens to come.
