They obviously spent alot longer perfecting the instrumentation and vocals on this. The drums sound really good.

Okay, about half-way through. This is good, but it sounds almost nothing like D,O. I wouldn't even think to say it was them if I heard it randomly.

I like it. It is a lot different, but I wouldn't go as far as to say I wouldn't recognize it as them. Having piano in there was quite a change, and they have become more solid musicans. The album is also much more consistently agressive.

It lacks a song that sticks out right away like a "Bikes and Bridges" or "Oh, Susquehanna!"

Yeah, listening to it more (i.e. four times straight through) it does sound more like them, though the piano and electrics kind of threw me off. You're right though, it's a good album, but it lacks a really standout track. Hm.

Defiance, Ohio's split with Ghost Mice is by far one of my favorite releases besides The Great Depression.

Yeah, this is so not as good as The Great Depression. But it's still really good.

The Great Depression is my least favorite. My favorite is Share What Ya Got, but I think The Fear, The Fear, The Fear would beat that, if I did't have so many memories tied with SWYG. However, all of them are really close in ranking and I love The Great Depression as well.
