Yeah, it's definitely not OiNK. They had almost 200k members, we've got just over 3k. Kray is an awesome community though, one of the best forums I've ever been on.

First download a program called uTorrent, then log into Kraytracker, search up a band you want, download any/all of the albums available by them and open up the file in uTorrent.

BT is pretty easy.

Just download the .torrent file and open it with uTorrent.

There's port forwarding and other stuff for advanced users, but it'll work without that stuff too.

As long as she seeds what she's downloaded, and she is seeding when someone is downloading, it'll be fine. But knowing her, she's forgotten about the site already and will never visit again.

The search is broken, so what you need to do is to go "Show all audio torrents" and then there's a search at the top there called "Advanced Search"

Use that.

I think the selection is pretty sweet. And all the bit rates are over 192 now.

How did you get some DVDs on kray? Can you tell me how to rip them properly?

If you google "dvd ripping," you'll find about a million different programs. I'm sure all have them have one-month trials if they're not free. Soak it up for a month and then download a different one.

Alternatively, you can just download DVD rips from torrent sites because it will probably take less time than ripping a DVD you own.

I have a program called Mac The Ripper which works like a charm, I'm not sure what to use for PC's though.

.iso files are what you burn onto a dvd. It's not really a video file, it's just an image of the disc. I don't know about kray's rules though.

Most people have a dynamic IP and don't even know what the difference is or how to change their IP configuration.

I don't stink at torrenting, my computer just sucked when I had OiNK so I leeched and never left my torrent program open to seed. It slowed everything else down too much.
