i dont think anyone likes the name, not even original emo bands like rites of spring (?)

Regardless of whether or not they are emo? I think a lot of those pseudo Senses Fail pop punk bands use the term liberally.

ian mackaye went on a bit about embrace being called emo-core in thrasher magazine or something. the vids on youtube. im pretty sure the cretin out of 30 seconds to mars mentioned he felt great in an interview about being 'accepted' into the world of emo. pseudo pop punk as has been said.
