Shame there not going to do an 8th season...

for some reason Zach Braff thinks he can do bigger and better things.

The old episodes were gold, but season 6 is still better than about 95% of what's on TV.

The ending to season 6 was killer in my opinion (although that might have more to do with "Alive With The Glory Of Love" than the actual story line).

Haha yeah I was so glad to here that song when I was watching the finale.

Basically, Zach Braff is one of those actors that can play one part, and that is himself. Thats not a bad thing, but all of his characters are very similar. I do think, though, that Scrubs is the best thing he's done, and its a shame to see it go. John McGinley aka Dr. Cox is definitely my favorite character though.

Akira
10-24-2007, 03:19 PM
I can't believe John isn't in more things.

I agree about Zach Braff. Neither Garden State nor The Last Kiss is particularly good.
As sad as I am to see Scrubs go after this season, if it stays good until the end I will be happy. It kills me when good shows try to outlive themselves and start to suck.
*coughcsicough*

Against Miik!
10-24-2007, 03:24 PM
Yeah John is one of my favorite actors, but he seems to only do supporting roles, kinda like Christoper Walken. He's also a great guy. His son has autism and he donates a lot of time and money to autism research.

I don't think Scrubs has yet outlived itself. I enjoyed last season, even as it took a more serious turn. I think if done right, this season could end things perfectly, although I could watch this show forever.

Akira
10-24-2007, 03:42 PM
I don't think it has either, I am just saying that I want to see it end when it is still good.

What do you think is going to happen this season?

Against Miik!
10-24-2007, 03:49 PM
Well on the NBC website, Bill Lawrence has a video that says he hasn't finished the season yet, and that he is open for suggestions. It might be outdated though.

I am really at a complete loss as to what is gonna happen. Obviously, Kim will have the baby. It won't be as simple as J.D. and Elliot getting back together and forgetting about Kim and Keith. Last seasons cliff hanger was absolutely perfect. I think Elliot will get married and J.D. will stay with Kim, at least at first, and most of the season will be composed of how J.D. and Elliot regret these decisions. As for the other characters, I think they will be up to there old antics. Nothing new, although hopefully i'm wrong, as the supporting cast is so solid and always makes things interesting.

Akira
10-24-2007, 04:03 PM
Yeah. I am wondering about the very start of the first episode. I think that just before they kiss, they will have a typical Scrubs epiphany about responsibility and the like. As I have said on here, I think it would be awesome if they were to have a "His and Her Story," with both of them narrating. Obviously they cannot get back together at this point. Elliot will marry Keith (I still don't love him) and J.D. will marry Kim. I actually don't think that they will regret their decisions in the end. There may be internal conflict in the short term, but chances are they will come to the realization that they were just not meant to be.

I hope Dr.Cox kills himself.

I'm still trying to figure out whether this was sarcastic or not :/

I hated Kieth for so long, but towards the end of season 6 I hated him slightly less, and now he's a meh character (as opposed to an "i hope he finds out he has inoperable cancer" character).

JD and Elliot getting together at the end of the show would ruin a lot about the show, because they spent so much time and effort explaining JD's flaw about wanting what he cannot have. If they hooked up, it would make the final few episodes of season 3 seem retarded.

I personally hope JD leaves Kim and marries someone else. Kim is starting to get annoying.

J.D. can't leave Kim. She's pregnant with his child.

So how about the lame beginning to the episode. It was cool Alive With The Glory of Love kicked it off though. But really, being a huge fan of the show, the end of the last season was killing me, waiting to see what was going to happen, and they totally messed with me. I guess that is a microcosm of the Scrubs series though, I mean, serious elements like love and death riddled with jokes. So I guess I should expect it.

I doubt either of them will end the series in relationships. Elliot probably won't be able to get involved with anyone for at least a few episodes, and if J.D. leaves Kim it probably won't be for a few episodes, and he can't start going out with someone right after leaving her.

I really enjoyed this episode actually... It was a good mix of serious and funny.

It's good that they can keep up quality, even in the seventh season, and while they might not be as funny as the first seasons, it's still a show I'll watch every time it's on.

I liked it too...

it was a lot funnier than a bunch of the episodes in season 6

Pretty sure it was Halo 3.

I kind of liked the episode, but I get the feeling that Elliot saying "You say you thought it was lame, but deep down, I bet you loved it" was supposed to be an indication to JD that he loved Kim.

Kelso made me laugh a lot in that episode, especially when he said "Hit Turkleton with this lamp". I don't know why, but the delivery was

Oh, and
According to the first season DVD commentary with Neil Flynn, when the Janitor's real name is said, the show will be over. Neil admits that he had not yet picked out a name for him. Some examples he gave were Ben-Hur and Buffalo Bill. In interviews prior to the start of season 7, Bill Lawrence confirmed that the Janitor's name will be revealed during the season (and series) finale, although a name has not been decided on and Neil Flynn has "veto power" regarding the name choice, having already exercised it.

i think that's pretty hilarious that neil flynn has "veto power" over what name the janitor goes by. i just hope it's not a huge letdown like "beatrix kiddo"

seriously

beatrix ****ing kiddo.

if the janitor's last name is janitor, i will slap someone
