I know Jared made an almost identical thread a while ago but some new **** has come to light.
Bands I've gotten into this year:
Aussitot Mort
Daitro
and most recently...
Escapado - http://zen-face-punch.blogspot.com/2007/10/escapado-initiale-2007.html
Bands with related sounds but are pretty different:
Kidcrash
Gospel
The sound is heavier with chunky rhythms. If there are shimmering arpeggios they're usually buried under other heavy section instead of being open and pretty sounding. A lot of shouting. I dunno what else. I'm really digging it. What other bands are keeping it real in the same way?

Sed Non Sataita is the best euro band hands down. Daitro is good, Mihai Edrisch is very good too.

Mesa Verde
and
Armchairpolitician
are some bands to check out in this
Followed By 37 Seconds of Happiness, Mr. Willis Of Ohio, and Only For the Sake of Aching. Amazing bands.
Edit: Chris, Sed Non Satiata is incredible. Props.

i really liked the last la quiete ep. some of the shimmering guitar lines reminded me of the appleseed cast. suis la lune are also enjoyable. been digging the french band anomie as well, their 'discographie' cd is pretty sweet.

Haha we follow the same blogs. I didn't really like Mesa Verde. I'm waiting to get Armchair politician on a school public computer since my mac has trouble unarchiving files with passwords. It sounded really good in the roawr description.

Dude I've sucked hard at getting Sed Non Sataita. You've been repping them really hard and I've seen full albums in blog updates but for some reason I'm not picking up on it. I'll look right now.

I had a whole convo with the singer from Daitro about the euro skram scene.
He was in the band Gantz earlier and that band went in a complete different direction then what most euro skram bands sounds like now that I guess have caught on. But he mentioned for the most part that there are many great bands and he is digging Raein and others of that sort a lot. But the problem is that label support is hard to get and touring is practically useless cause noone goes out to shows during the summer over there. He mentioned quite a few bands but I can't recall them most. He had a sick french accent though.

Yeah but their last stuff sounds like nothing compared to the bands mentioned in this thread.

Prefer Only For The Sake Of Aching, but they have a relatively different sound.

Best Euro band: The Apoplexy Twist Orchestra
Probably the only band of this style I didn't stop listening to.

whiteminority is the official king of only listening to a few screamo bands.

Yeah, because that was the point I was trying to get across.
I don't listen to this style very much anymore but that band is the one that I still will jam and ****ing love.
Am I the only person who thinks skramz is the dumbest ****ing term ever?
That said, I dig most of the bands mentioned that I've heard.

Yeah we all agree here on the board it is a stupid term and that was established long ago in another thread. Its for fun oh well.

GOd I can't get my recent roawr downloads to work on my mac because of the encryption. Armchairpolitician sounds so good. Dredg, Converge, and other sounds all in one? That's cool. Let me know if anyone has an unencrypted version.

i saw straight no chaser and storm the bastile together sometime this summer.
storm the bastille sucked but straight no chaser ****ing ruled so much. i got stiffarmed hard by the singer.

You might like some Australian screamo bands. A lot of them seem to take a lot of cues from Euro bands.

kidcrash was really really tight. i wish i had bought their record but for some reason i was really tired and wasn't really feeling them at the time. in retrospect they were really good though
