I was wanting a guitar in the shape of a shark. I found one for 300 dollars. It's a Jay Turser. (knock-off brand). Picture below.....

I was wondering if I should buy that and replace the pick-ups, pots, knobs, etc. Or if I should buy an Epiphone Casino and put Gibson P-90's in it.

Which would be cheaper?

Depends on how this guitar sounds when it comes. You can't really bank on how a guitar shipped will sound. So do what you want.

Take this over to the guitar forum next time.

I used to have that same guitar. It was seriously terrible. Quite easily the worst guitar i've ever played. Please don't get it. Please

Sometimes no names can be gems, in terms of playability.

If it plays alright...ya...just changed all the electronics and it should sound dec.
