I'm cleaning my cymbals, mostly to get the bubble soap and stick marks off of them, but also to strip the labels. The cleaner I use took the print right off my AAX, and almost all the way off my Avedis, but it can't get the Paiste logo at all. Is there a certain cleaner that works well for removing Paiste's print, or do the just not like to come off?

it's hard to remove the paiste logos. I don't actually know how to take them off. Try a little bit of acetone, and if that doesn't work, i don't know.

Is acetone something to find at a hardware store?

acetone you might find in your mother's make up cabinet, labeled as nail polish remover. use a q-tip.

groove juice. :thumb:

not only will it leave your cymbals shiny, and logo free...but it has a nice smell.

Chippy - Thanks, I'll try that.

Bobby - I almost bought groovejuice, but it said it was safe for logos, so I bought some Dunlap stuff that said not to use it on logos if you like them.. It also smells good.

I should probably point out that my cymbals are silver now. Is that bad?

Its probably not good. Unless they're zildjian platinum/titanium.

Sounds like you've removed the protective coating.

Eh. I'm not worried. Should I get the Paiste stuff to put a new coating on, or just let them go?

Dimensions.

Upon a new inspection, my ride is still gold, it just reflects light amazingly well, and the Avedis crash is silver.
