Can anyone recommend a two channel digital recorder. The purpose of it would be able to record acoustic drums with the mic that it comes with and than the point of the two channels would be used to record an electric drums set and bass guitar. Any input will be appreciated. Also, it should be portable.

I haven't heard good things about a lot of cheap ones.
The M-Audio one comes to mind...

So does the ZoomH4. or whatever, but this wouldn't be the best place to ask.

I tried posting this in another area, but no one replied. I figured since it was going to be used for recording acoustic as well as electric drums people here would know. Also I don't recall saying I was looking for a cheap one, I want one that will do the job and do it well, obviously price is a factor but not the factor.

Boss BR-600 is pretty good, it has some good effects and good EQ. Some amp sims aswell. The two condensers on the front of it are pretty decent from in-built mics. You can record 4 tracks on it. When i use mine i record the drums in stereo on the first two tracks, then bass and keys on the others. I think it retails for like $350 in Australia, prob cheaper wherever you are.

Check out the new Zoom recorder and the new Edirol recorders aswell, they're both good, but i don't have any personal expirience with them.

Hope that helps.
