I found this while browsing just now, it's a kid from Australia at the Ultimate Drummer's Weekend in Melbourne that just passed.
The kid can definitely play! He's got some amazing talent going on and he's just 11. Very solid playing to say the least.

Enjoy and discuss!

Insane, hey. He's been playing since he was 3 apparently, another one of these kids... :( haha i wish i started younger.

That New Zealand kid is amazing also!!!!! Awesome use of fulcrum rolls. I hated the cymbal set-up though.

He was very good for his age. It's good that kids are starting at younger ages.

Have there been a lot of drummers who were amazing when they were young who made it REAL big?

The first one was impressive, but I think Tony was better at 12, perhaps it was the micing. The second one of the kid who is 16 is unbelievable. Both unbelievable, technique and solo abilities!

I would like to see how that kid plays with a band. Solo drumming is so much different than band playing.

What does everyone think of the first one? (aka. the point of this thread, it kinda got hijacked).

I didnt really like it. I mean he is good for his age, dont get me wrong, i couldn't have done what he was doing when i was 12, let alone 8 or whatever that kid is, but it kinda seemed over rehearsed and boring to me.

Talented kid though

it was pretty much what i would expect a 11 year old that is good a drums to play. i was however impressed by his buzz at the beginning of the video :)

Sorry to keep commenting on the second one but jesus christ, probably the best solo I have ever seen. Up there with the Benny Greb video.
