When I went to the site a few moments ago, I got this message from Demonoid:

We received a letter from a lawyer represeting the CRIA, they were threatening with legal action and We need to start blocking Canadian traffic because of this. If you reside in Canada, that is the reason you are being redirected to this message. Thanks for your understanding, and sorry for any inconvenience.

You can still download from Demonoid for some reason despite being blocked in Canada. I know someone who can't access the website, but can still download torrents.

Yeah you only need a proxy to download the actual torrent files which are small so you can use a pretty crappy proxy and still use Demonoid.

This is quite strange though as I thought all this stuff was pretty much legal in Canadia.

Yeah its pretty fu cking gay, I loved that site best one out there. The only one that comes close to it is mininova which is not all to good to begin with. Also how would on get around this message? and if its with a proxie wtf is a proxie? ahah

Edit: And a judge did rule that it's legal to download music in canada so I don't know why they would have to block canadians
