I've been looking all over the place for a custom guitar nut that would allow me to put, instead of the standard 7-string combination to achieve a BEADGBE tuning, a 7-string combination of the standard six-string set, followed by around a .008 to be tuned up to G, so that I can achieve a CGCFADG tuning without affecting the tension and action so much, as that is the problem I've been dealing with a lot lately. Anyone know?

And what's the problem with using the nut you have now, do you feel the slots will be too wide?

I'm kind of nervous about it, yeah. I had a friend who's slots weren't quite right, even though it wasn't the same situation, and he ended up having a big-*** crack run under the slot. It ruined the playing completely.

It should be fine, a high e is usually only about .010 anyway?

I knew it was going to come out like that, too. I tried my best to stay away from the word "nut" in that post. It could've been worse, I guess.
