Seriously, how difficult is this one? Every bloody forum has one.
If sputnik did, it'd be perfect.
PLEASE!

As much I would like to see a PM system going on, I don't think the forum needs it.

Why would it never happen?
It's a waste of bandwidth, or something.

we just use rep instead
We should seriously do away with the reputation system, it's pointless.

i just explained why it was useful: to send messages to each other. the actual number is irrelevant to me
Can't we get rid of the reputation system and add a PM function? MX would be cooler.

Jeremy hasn't liked the idea for a number of years now. Rep serves fine as a pm system. If you have more to say, use AIM or MSN.

If you want to talk to someone rep them asking for their email, gosh, it's not hard!
What we DO need is a half decent search function.

PM would be very helpful. Put a limit on the amount of PM's one can send per day. 5 PM's would be ideal. Thats plenty of messages to exchange AIM/MSN/Yahoo/Skype etc etc contact information. Posting.."Hey whats ur AIM name?" in somebodys thread gets on my nerves, and im sure others nerves as well.
I think the search function works great. Type in for example "5150" and look at the nice/relative results it brings back.

Not everyone checks their rep every 12 seconds like you.
Also the search function is fine if you're not a retard.

You can easily post your AIM or whatever in your profile. And if all else fails, post it or rep it to someone. It's been pretty much affirmed in the past that pm's aren's happening. We don't need them, and they would tear up the bandwidth.
