It's that time again!
Spoiler tags
Self-explanatory, it's extremely difficult for people in Videogames/Movies subforum to discuss anything without ruining it for other people without spoiler tags.
Hyperlinks
Again, self-explanatory, the absence of hyperlinks messes up lots of pages, breaks page tables when people post long links, doesn't allow people to use image thumbnails etc.
E.g.
* Links messed up due to lack of link tag - http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showpost.php?p=13315984&postcount=2
* And for images - http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showpost.php?p=14430013&postcount=836
Instead of clickable - http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/8777/xr3da2005010101103384ro8.th.jpg (http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/8777/xr3da2005010101103384ro8.jpg)
Second one being nice and tidy thumbnail that doesn't take half an hour to load for people with slower connections.
New Admin
Alex is becoming DBJ II and hasn't touched the account changes thread for months which defeats the point in him being an admin.
I'd suggest Peer or YDload if they'd accept since they're both active in the pit every day. :X
- This was done, which is good, but the account changes thread was closed due to people constantly asking for account changes one the same account every other hour, make a new account changes request thread in here with more strict rules, anyone violating these rules wont get their change and will be spoken to with harsh words.
Avatar size
Limit avatar size to 150 x 150 pixels but keep the 19.5Kb limit, it wont slow anything down and will allow everyone to have a decent looking avatar, don't allow anyone to have an avatar bigger than that, this will keep avatars from breaking page tables and stop people from having 1Mb avatars of last years meme.
Finally.
Code tags
Useful for people discussing programming in Videogames & Movies since posting without code tags tends to mess up the formatting.
Other Suggestions -
Search dropdown menu thingy
Have an option menu to display search results as 'posts' or 'threads'. I've seen it done before, it's a simple 'check the circle' thing.
Here's an example:
http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/3980/gggggggggnt7.jpg
Forum cleanup
Get rid of the email links. On the 'Forum Leaders' page, there are these email buttons that you can supposedly use to contact a mod, but they don't lead to anywhere.
Skin uniformality
Different skins, same features please!
One small thing I'd like changed is for a few images to be uploaded. For instance, the Reload this Page icon on certain skins and the moderated posts icon too.
Please discuss. :I

Not really feeling like pooping the party, but it was closed because certain users weren't even asking for a name change. People like Jared (pixiesfanyo) for instance, making fake requests for his lols.

Supported, nonetheless it can lead to better-looking images made out of ASCII characters.
That's it from my behalf. :)

I hope you actually take these into consideration, Jeremy. Each are logical, would improve the forums, and might make people actually want to post here :/

I support all of the following. Especially a new name/account change thread, you know, with tight restrictions and **** that'll keep us ruffians in line :I

More importantly, like Tojes said, it was that every request had three pages of extraordinarly witty comments on said requests. Which was utterly annoying.
Make me a moderator and I'll monitor the account changes thread.

So... scrap the swear filter?
You can bypass it anyway, so there isn't much point in having one...
the point isn't to have no swearing its those net nanny things blocking mx for people at work and school and stuff. if its bypassed it still sees blah not the word

If that is so, then no problem.
I don't get the latter part of your last sentence though.

well in the page its looking for 'word', but if size/font tags are used it wont find it because that breaks the word up in htmls
like it looks for **** but instead sees s[.size=2]hit just like the mx wordfilter.

I don't if you mods are taking this thread seriously but, regardless please consider my suggestion.
It doesn't work. It's bloated in the pit, it's broken, it's worse than it was when it was disable before. I have a lot of rep and if rep was working, I would not have much at all.
It's not good for posting overall, at least I hope, you can realize that.

Hi, I just was looking into new reviews that appear on the top of the forum pages for punk, pop-punk etc. and I thought it would be useful to also have in the forums several links to the last commented reviews. I don't know I thought it would help to give a little more life to the reviews pages because you can follow the discussion of an album that's being commented at the moment. Maybe it's just me who thinks this is useful but anyway I thought I'd put it in here.

I'm not liking this "wait 24 hours to post a thread" thing :(
Isn't there an easier way? like a SPAM verification box which asks a simple question like "Are you a spambot?" lol.
Also, Since I can't make a thread... How do you submit tabs?

I swear I made a thread about what I'm about to say, but I can't find it, so I'll just put my suggestion here.
Spanish speaking section to SputnikMusic/the forums. There has to be plenty of spanish speaking folk here, and you can't even imagine how hard it is to find cd reviews on the internet when it's spanish speaking cds. And the problem is, Latin music reviews (and probably Latin rock) would be pushed into others. I'd settle for a 'Latin Rock' section under Rock, or something of the like.
A spanish speaking forum would be nice, but I know it's asking for much :p.

We had that (minus the 'Members viewing this thread') way back, but it was removed. Can't recall the reason.
EDIT: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=285650
That thread hasn't been updated in TWO years. Considering this is now the forum f SputnikMusic, it's a bit bizarre no one even touches de CD Reviews Archive part of the site.

Get rid of the editing of document on the non-orange skins/make the swear filter standard across all skins.
Also if at all possible, the grey skin would be appreciated if it were brought back.

Remove the caps filter please. I can understand why it's in place but sometimes caps are necessary to emphasize a point, or if you're typing an acronym or what have you, and not everyone knows how to get around the filter. :)

The search is being lame, If I want to look up small words It'll discard them and mark it as too common.
for example, searching for a
pod xt - zip zero nada
The words in the search criteria must be over three characters. Sticking a hyphen in between POD and XT works.
