Hot Darn!

Hey guys, I really starting to get into blues alot. I've also had a few jazz cds my old guitar teacher burned for me but I've since lost them and I liked those alot too.
So here's my question, I've really been digging SRV, who else should I check out with sort of a similiar sound? Who else would you guys recommend to me?
Stevie Ray Vaughan played close tribute to his influences in his style. Freddie King, Jimi Hendrix, Lonnie Mack, and Kenny Burrell are probably the most pronounced in his playing. I would check out work by them. There have also been a bunch of young players who have followed in SRV's footsteps. Joe Bonamassa, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Eric Gale would be good places to look.

Joe Satriani isn't really SOOOO AWESOME.
He's ok, occasionally boring.

In my opinion, speed does not determine how interesting you are... ****, Ornette Coleman and his musicians eat up most artists speed and technicality to this day... He is almost eighty for Chrisesakes'!!! Consonance and speed determines greatness to the masses! Seven tone skill... resolutions!!!
I love blues and I love jazz... But I am into the more dissonant cats.
