Return of Bobby's World?
Since early-2006, Howie Mandel had dropped several hints indicating a possible revival of Bobby's World:
In an April 2006 online interview, Mandel expressed his desire for a possible re-launch of the series.[1]
On September 28, 2006, Mandel mentioned on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that the series will be returning in 2007, in addition to doing his job hosting Deal or No Deal.
He further mentioned that the series was returning on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
While he did not mention it during his November 15, 2006 appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien he wore a shirt that read "Generic Rules", a possible reference to Bobby's last name.
Bobby made a cameo appearance on the February 12, 2007 episode of the NBC game show hosted by Howie, Deal or No Deal. The premise here was that the contestant, Donato DeMarinis, wanted Howie to do his Bobby's voice, but Howie said that his throat wasn't up to the challenge. Later on, during an offer, Howie had Bobby come on stage (by magic of animation and post-production) to ask Donato the magic question -- "Deal or No Deal?" This was likely Bobby's first appearance on network television since 1998.[2]
While filling in for ill Regis Philbin on Live with Regis and Kelly on March 21, 2007, Howie said that Bobby's World will be returning.
On April 2, 2007, Howie again mentioned on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that "Bobby's World is back. You can check it out on Kabillion.com."
On September 17, 2007, Howie mentioned the return of Bobby's World and explained the origin of Bobby Generic's voice on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
I was wiking show's that I watched as a kid and this one is coming back apparently. I'm DEFINITELY stoked, it's probably one of my favourite cartoons.
