I'm so disgusted right now with this.

I gave up on waiting for him to finish the series once he started writing filler for profit, but still. Pretty sad to admit that I wished him dead many times over for ruining one of the greatest fantasy tales ever written. Now he's dead and we'll never know. But hey at least his wife and family are all set.

Anyone can gather how the thing ends. Rand wins and saves the world blah blah..

Plus, though it definitely dragged, Crossroads of Twilight was the only really meh book and Knife of Dreams was good. As mentioned in the article, Jordan detailed the layout of what he had not yet written before he died and A Memory of Light is hopefully going to be finished by other writers(though it will nt be the same as if he had finished it).

I really really hope George R. R. Martin doesn't do the same with A Song of Ice & Fire (quie possibly a superior series).

I agree. Song of Ice and Fire is amazing and I await with great anticipation the next book. Did you know Martin sold the rights to a miniseries to HBO? There's no details more then that, but I was excited to read that news.

And yeah the details are of great interest to me in regards to WoT, but Jordan created so many dead end plotlines that to tie every loose end it would take another 2 or 3 books at the very least, and I just don't have the patience anymore. I'm fed up with sniffing, smoothing of dresses, frowns and scowls and all the forsaken who never die, not to mention all the other characters who never die. At the very least, Martin isn't afraid to kill characters everyone falls in love with.

Honestly he was a great write, Jordan was. He will be missed. I'm sure he had a plethora of ideas in his head that sadly will never be realized.

I was shocked how many Starks Martin is prepared to kill off.

Apparently Jordan and Martin were born within a month of each other (Martin is the elder).
