live tv on computer?

is this possible? I just got a new computer, and a fast internet connection. I can watch movies or anything via tv links. Live tv is really the only reason I have a tv.

There is a few free internet solutions, but they're very limited and offer only a couple of channels

Although there was one that let me watch Comedy Central! (I'm from Denmark, so this was awesome).. And coincidently, the reruns of The Daily Show, and Colbert Report match up with prime time in my time zone..
