I'd go with Isle Royale, which is up in Lake Superior, north of Michigan's UP. My parents went there once and said it was badass.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park
For a second I thought the topic was "National Pride." I got raged.

National Parks are a hellovalot more scenic before you bulldoze them and plaster them over with concrete, I can tell you that.

i agree but as long as we have the reb bitches in office they're going to keep messing up the enviroment
once we get Hilary(sp?)/obama(sp?) in office and keep contorl in congress we'll get much better enviromental laws and maybe more protected land

yeah the Canadian Rockies are sweet, but here's the next best thing:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glacier_National_Park_%28U.S.%29
It's in Montana on the border with Canada, so you get basically the same great scenery.

Hmm...I've been to both glacier and Banff, and I can safely say there's a fairly large difference. The Canadian Rockies are significantly more rugged, the mountains in glacier are like foothills.
