Coil Tapping issue

Hello all!

I have a Squire Jagmaster that I am in love with, the only thing is I wish it could tap the humbucker on the neck to a single and back. So I did my little research and got a push pull pot to replace the volume put and figured out my wiring diagrams and such. Got it working (after many miss-tries of soldering).

So my issue is this. I got all gitty when it was all done and working, then I noticed that the pot itself stick out of the body about a whole 1 inch. so the knob sticks out too far. I bought the Allparts 3/4" Push/Pull. What pot do I need to buy?

Can you just cut down the post a bit? That may be a simple solution.

ahhh thanks i had the same problem with my c1 classic

Stick another nut or some washers on the pot shaft underneath the pickguard/body to lower it.
